Description

Here is a photo of my favorite trees at Russian Ridge Open Space, California. On this day, the first rain after a long, dry summer was finally clearing up. The landscape is still dry and gold, and the long awaited moisture catches the sunlight to amplify the color. The crisp post-storm air affords a clear view of the Pacific Ocean -- rare from this location.
