Description
My favorite type of landscape in the Everglades is the undulating strands of cypress forest common in the northern portion of the park, such as Big Cypress Preserve. I especially enjoy these features at sunset, when the setting sun lights up the tall domes a brilliant gold. But naturally, while the dome is catching the fading light, it is inevitably casting a long shadow on the other side. Sometimes it seems like the spacing between strands is just right, so that the shadows begin to just tough the next strand right as the sun is going down, as in this picture.
